Long Long Ago....

A long time ago I set out with an idea that I could start a blog and possibly help people with ideas that would make their lives less stressful.  I just want anyone who is reading this to know YOU ARE NOT ALONE!! I say this because I too get cramped on time, money and at times sanity (just ask Dave, my husband)  I have not posted since before the holidays around December 4th 2011--that is quite a while to let eager readers hummmmm along waiting for the next post.  I will try to be better at posting comments ideas, recipes and anything else that comes to mind.  I will say again as I always do, IF you are reading this post and you have a topic that bothers you, an idea or a recipe that you would like to share......please do not hesitate to add some content to this page. It needs life and variety and you can help.
With that being said, lets continue on with the blogging....oh, I guess it has already begun. :)
Here he is....this is Xander Phillip Santana-Ponsler ....aka....my grandson.  We are going to visit him and his parental units and his siblings in four days.  I cannot wait!!! This little man is 7 months old and he looks like he needs some "grammy hugs" don'tcha think?
My son is leaving for Afghanistan for one year on February 8th so please say some prayers for him and his family.  While we are at it.....we should say some prayers for the other men and women serving our country that are away from their families for extended periods of time.  I know it is tough on the soldier as well as the ones staying home to "hold down the fort" while they are away.  I just want those families to find peace while their soldier is away--oh and lets give some thanks while we are at it for the AWESOME WORLD OF TECHNOLOGY!!!! Technology is what helps our soldiers stay in touch with their families face to face.  I used to gripe about "techno junk" (as I liked to call it) but now I am a firm believer in all of the GOOD it can do for us on a daily basis.
What I am saying is.... sometimes there are things we do not like, or are totally against (maybe just don't want to learn something new) and find out later it is all for the good.  Sometimes these things can be painful to our hearts or our minds (and sometimes we think we are going to lose those minds) only to find out if we would have looked at it in a way to see the positive perspective, it would have been much easier--with much less frazzling on our end. :) Much easier for my son to stay in contact with his family while he is away. (I saw techno junk as BAD and while my son, Lucas was a youngster, he would tease me about being "technologically impaired--I have come a long way!)
So when you are faced with those icky-stubborn--annoying situations, you know the ones.....see the positive perspective say something positive about the situation out loud--you may be surprised at the relief that may come your way.
